STUCK IN THE MOMENT
I lost her forever
So I thought
Maybe I would never
Never see her again
Or clasp her tender arms again
Gaze at her almond visage
Just for the joy it brings
For gone were the moments
Glorious, glamorous moments
When our lips embraced
To the witness of the trees
Under the purple veil of sunset
To the orchestra of sleepy swallows
Their melodious tunes in the background
Those precious seconds we stood
Not wavered by the haggle
Humbled by the serenity within us
Listening to the racing of our heartbeats
The sputtering of warm breaths
Hoping that it would last forever
Only to end as soon as it started
